There are several passages in the bible which suggests that God should be our first love. Jesus said the greatest commnadment was to love the Lord your God with all of your minds, hearts, souls, and strength.
To the church in Ephesus, Jesus said to them that He knew they had worked hard, that they hated evil, and He knew they had suffered in His name. But then Jesus said they did not love Him now as they did at first. Ouch!
Was God ever your 1st love? Is God now your 1st love?
AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.' This is the first commandment.
