It seems to me there are four alternatives.
1. Nothingness. By this I mean, you simply cease to exist in body, soul, and spirit.
2. Reincarnation of some sort. You return in some form, although not necessarily as a human being.
3. Your body ceases to exist, but your soul and/or spirit unites with some sort of universal energy.
4. The bible suggests that every person dies once, and then can expect to spend eternity in heaven or hell.
